Kathryn Mattingly Clark, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, July 16, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Jessamine County, Kentucky.
Kathryn was born in Roff, Kentucky on February 7, 1924 to Frankie and Nora Driskell Mattingly. She attended Breckinridge County High School then moved to Louisville, Kentucky where she worked for Reynolds Aluminum in support of the World War II war effort. After the war she married William Russell Clark, a World War II veteran. Together they built Clark Heating and Air Conditioning in Louisville. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family and her faith in God were the most important things to her. She spent her entire life serving all of those around her. Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Curtis Mattingly (Ada).
Survivors include her husband, William Russell Clark; a sister, Anna Elizabeth Hedden (Joseph, deceased); three children, Brenda Clark Knochenmus (Kerry), Sharon Clark Bryson (Edwin), Timothy Clark (Leah Dees); five grandchildren, Kathryn Knochenmus Swafford, (Carl), Kevin Knochenmus, (Amy Lusk), Amanda Clark Dingley, (Marc), Emily Clark Howell, (Luke), Anna Bryson; and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway in Louisville, KY., with burial in Cave Spring Cemetery, Breckinridge County, KY.
Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
