Obituary

BRIDGEWATER - Stacia B. (Chimbur) Flammia, 87, of Bridgewater died Monday, April 25, 2005, at Southwood Nursing Facility at Norwell after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Michael Flammia.

Born Sept. 6, 1917, in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Dubetski) Flammia.

Raised and educated in Bridgewater, Mrs. Flammia was a lifelong resident there.

She worked in the Independent Nail Factory in Bridgewater for 40 years.

Mrs. Flammia was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and enjoyed cooking, baking, “I Love Lucy” reruns and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Michael Flammia and his wife Joan of Winston, Ga.; her daughter, Barbara Phillips and her husband Gary of Pembroke; her grandchildren, David Flammia of Atlanta, Ga., Krista Phillips and Mark Phillips, both of Pembroke; a sister, Mary Sposini of Dennis and many nieces and nephews. She was also sister to the late Sophia Glodindes, Michael Chimbur and John Chimbur.

Her funeral will be held from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Thursday at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 9 a.m. Visiting hours are Wednesday 3-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Bridgewater.
