CZAP- Of Garland, Maine, formerly of Chelsea, July 11th. Devoted wife of the late Franciszek Czap. Loving mother of Christine Avery and her husband Wayne of Garland, Maine and Frank S. Czap of Aurora, Colorado. Cherished grandmother of Bryan and Matthew and great grandmother of Jason Czap.
Josephine was born and raised in Chelsea. She graduated St. Stanislaus, Williams and Chelsea High School. She worked for many years for the Knight Leather Company in Boston and Jamaica Plain. Due to her husbands illness, she returned to work for Kayem Foods from where she retired. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Society as well as a Legion of Honor member of the Polish Falcons of America. At her request, funeral services are private.
