Elaine Ruth Monks, born February 8, 1955 in Woburn, MA passed away on Friday, July 10th at EPOCH Senior Healthcare in Harwich after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late Edward Joseph and Mary Louise Monks.
Elaine was baptized, made her First Communion and was a communicant of St. Charles of Borromeo Church in Woburn. She also attended St. Charles School.
Prior to moving to Provincetown in 1975 to join with her mother and other family, she worked as an Inspector for a printed circuit board plating company in Burlington.
She is survived by sisters, Cynthia Lynch and her husband Paul of Woburn and Marilyn Monks of Truro. Aunts Ruth Doherty of Woburn and Phyllis O’Doherty of Wethersfield, CT, in addition to many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her. She was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Scott and an uncle Charles O’Doherty.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 15th in the Provincetown Cemetery, Alden St, Provincetown. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be at the Chapel in St. Peters Cemetery on Jerome Smith Rd. Family and friends are invited to attend.
