Rita P. Cooper (Cleary), of Canton, died peacefully Saturday, July 11, 2015 in the comfort of her home. She was 90 years old. Rita enjoyed spending long weekends at her son John's vacation home in Old Orchard Beach ME. She also enjoyed playing(and mostly winning on) lottery scratch tickets as well as spending holidays with her grand and great grandchildren.
Devoted wife of the late John G. Cooper. Loving mother of Gail M. Burgess and her husband Scott of PA, Beverly J. Monahan and her husband Robert of Sandwich, John G. Cooper Jr. of Canton, and Jeffrey P. Cooper and his wife Catherine of MI. Loving sister of Beatrice Wentworth, James Cleary, and Florence O’Donnell all of Canton, Ronald Cleary of Attleboro, and Joseph Cleary of Stoughton. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours in the Roache-Pushard Funeral Home 210 Sherman St., Canton Tuesday morning, July 14, 2015 from 8:30 -9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Gerard Majella Church 1860 Washington St., Canton at 10 AM. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
