Maxine G. Reinhold, 82, of Londonderry, NH, died Thursday, April 21, 2005 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry, NH. She was born in St. Paul, MN, on September 4, 1922, a daughter of the late Axel and Borgina (Hylland) Johnson. She was a resident of Londonderry since 1998, formerly living in Bentonville, Ark. and White Bear Lake, MN. She was educated in St. Paul, MN schools, and attended Macalaster College in 1940, and nursing school at Bethesda Lutheran Hospital. She passed her state nursing boards in 1944, and was employed at Bethesda Lutheran Hospital in the surgery unit. In 1945, she moved to Panama and worked at Gorgas Hospital. In 1946, she moved back to Minneapolis aboard a ship where she met Richard Reinhold Sr. whom she married in 1947. Following her marriage, they moved to Panama and then Rio. In 1952, she returned to Minneapolis and worked at Bethesda Lutheran Hospital in labor and delivery until 1979. She retired in 1982 from Bethesda Lutheran Hospital as a rotation nurse. Mrs. Reinhold was very active over the years in community affairs.
She is survived by one son, Richard Reinhold and his wife Laura of Londonderry, one daughter, Barbara Dummer and her husband Donald of Richfield, MN, and two granddaughters, Anastasia Reinhold and Lauren Reinhold, both of Londonderry. She was predeceased by her husband Richard M. Reinhold Sr. in 1986, and two daughters, Eileen and Shirley.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Monday, May 2nd at 10:00am at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 5 Peabody Row, Londonderry. The family requests memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A First Ave., Ste. 6, Waltham, MA 02451-4990, the Portsmouth-Derry-Salem Hospice, 1E Commons Dr., Unit 31, Londonderry, NH 03053 or to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 5 Peabody Row, Londonderry, NH 03053. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
