Johnny Whitley, 73, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Thursday, April 21, 2005 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Saturday, April 23, 2005 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Rev. Greg Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7-9 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Whitley was born March 21, 1932, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Reason and Edna Cody Whitley. He lived in the community most of his life and helped his father farm. Mr. Whitley was a former employee of H.R. Kaminsky & Sons and Y & W Sportswear. He attended Crossview Baptist Church.
Mr. Whitley is survived by his wife: Reba Mae Whitley of Fitzgerald; brother: Ronnie Whitley of Tifton; sisters: Betty Cooley, Carolyn Johnson and Bobbie Brown, all of Fitzgerald, Bernice Helms of Abbeville and Sarah Wheelus of Sycamore.
