Clara Hilma Stembridge, 90, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, April 22, 2005 at Arbor Baptist Church with Dr. Lloyd Stembridge, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at 3 P.M. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, Macon, Georgia. Visitation will be held from 7-9 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Stembridge was born December 2, 1914, in Peach County, Georgia, to the late W.E. and Eulodia Hancock. She lived in the community since 1990 from Wrightsville and was a former resident of Brunswick. Mrs. Stembridge was a homemaker and a former Secretary with Dunn & Bradstreet in Macon for twenty years. She was a member of Arbor Baptist Church, the Arbor Lights choir, Young At Heart, W.M.U., a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Macon and a former member and Primary Sunday School Teacher at Tattnall Square Baptist Church.
Mrs. Stembridge is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Dr. Lloyd and Marsha Stembridge of Fitzgerald and two grandsons: Matthew Stembridge and P.K. Stembridge, both of Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Stembridge, Sr. and a sister, Lois Hayes.
