Obituary

FRAMINGHAM: James (Jim) David Suddath, 69, a Framingham resident, died on July 10 at Parmenter’s Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland following a courageous three-year battle with cancer.

Son of the late Robert and Betsy Suddath, Jim was born in Baltimore, MD, and raised in Wellesley and
Framingham. He graduated from Framingham South High School and attended Northeastern University. At the time of his death, he was employed by Putnam Investments in Andover, and had previously worked at Boston Scientific Corporation in Natick.

“Grampa Jim” was “the biggest fan” at his grandchildren’s soccer, football, and baseball games and at their scouting, school, and birthday events. He was also a loyal Red Sox and Patriots follower.

He leaves his wife, Carol M. Suddath of Framingham, and a close step-family: Lisa and Carl Olivo of Franklin and Patrick, Lauren, and Tyler; Linda and Scott Hastings of Plainville and Kaitlyn, Ryan, and Hunter; and Christa and Mark Branigan of Medway and Delaney and Jack.

He is also survived by two children, Kama Suddath and Michael Suddath; a brother, Robert Suddath; and a sister, Sandra Lamont.

Honoring Jim’s wishes, there are no services planned. Arrangements are being handled by John Everett & Sons, 4 Park Street at Natick Common.

Donations in Jim’s memory may be made to the Ryan Hastings Trust Fund in care of the Hastings Family, 6 Maple Terrace, Plainville, MA, 02762.
