James Robert “Bobby” Spivey, Sr., 70, of Enigma passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015, at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Spivey at 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2015, at Tift Memorial Gardens where he will be laid to rest. Rev. Terrell Roberts will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday, July 13, 2015, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Arel Valdez, Johnny King, Hulen Purvis, Ray Paulk, Sidney Harper and Layton Hampton will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Spivey was born December 17, 1944 in Tifton, the son of Forest Dewey Spivey and Margaret Lorene Franklin Spivey, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald Spivey. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Spivey is survived by two sons; James Robert Spivey, Jr. of Nashville and Randy Spivey of Brookfield; two daughters and one son-in-law, Rhonda Spivey of Enigma and Wendy and Layton Hampton of Tifton; two brothers, Terry Gravitt of Enigma and Paul Gravitt of Pensacola, Florida; and nine grandchildren, Brittney Harper, Madison Spivey, Marlie Spivey, Ty Hampton, Ashlyn Hampton, Joseph Spivey, Austin Spivey, Eliana Spivey and Mercedes Spivey.
