Obituary

Salem Mr. John R. “Jack” Lowe 83, of 10 Conners Road, Salem, a retired Health Inspector for the City of Salem, husband of Elizabeth (Mohrmann) Lowe, died Monday morning, April 18, 2005 at home.
Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late John and Sarah (Conlon) Lowe. He received his education in the Salem school system and was a member of the graduating class of 1938 from Salem High School.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during WWII as a member of the United Sates Navy.
Mr. Lowe began his career in public service as the Massachusetts State Milk Inspector where he was employed until 1946 when he became the Health Inspector for the City of Salem until the time of his retirement in 1969.
A lifelong resident of the City of Salem, he was an active communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Salem and a life member of the D.A.V.
In addition to his wife, with whom he shared sixty years of marriage, Jack is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Madeline and Arthur Osiecki of Jacksonville, FL, three sons and daughters-in-law, Philip and Sandra Lowe of Beverly, Richard and Eileen Lowe and Michael and Joan Lowe all of Salem, twelve grandchildren, Thomas, Daniel and Robert Osiecki, Jennifer Conklin, Sonia, Vivienne, Gregory and Douglas Lowe, Susan Hanson, Andrew, Mathew and Benjamin Jones and five great-grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Madeline Lowe.
Jack’s funeral will be held from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Sq., East (at Salem Common) Salem, Friday, April 22, 2005, at 9 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Salem at 10 A.M.
