Thalia F. (Eames) Carmichael, lifelong resident of Carver, died on July 5, 2015, surrounded by her family at the age of 95. She was the wife of the late Walter R. Carmichael. She is survived by her daughter Phyllis C. Grace and her husband Charles A. Grace of Monson, MA; her granddaughter Victoria grace-Nocera of Carver, and many nieces and nephews. Thalia was born February 29, 1920 and would always tell people her age based on the leap year. This past birthday she turned 23.75. For many of those years she owned Carmichael's store and gas station. She loved the connection she had to Carver. After retiring she enjoyed her hobbies more including flower gardening, working outside, baking, watching the Red Sox and eating ice cream. Thalia was a cancer survivor and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. A Memorial Service will be held at United Parish of Carver at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 11, 2015.
