WEBSTER – Bernice T. Ryan, 83, of 14 Raleigh Road, died Friday, April 15, at home after a brief illness. Her husband of 40 years Laurence D. Ryan, died in 1986.
She leaves a son, Thomas D. Ryan of Webster; a daughter, Mary T. Ryan with whom she lived; 2 sisters, Jane Lempicki of Webster and Ann Iglowski of Houston, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Kerrin Ryan, Bridie Ryan, George Raheb, Brendan Millet and Colin Millet; 1 great grandson, Jalen.
She was born in Webster, a daughter of Stanley and Gladys (Nackowski) Szynal, and was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Bartlett High School class of 1940.
Mrs. Ryan was a former hairdresser for many years before becoming a screen colorist at Steven’s Linen Company. She was a member of Saint Louis Church. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, gardening, shopping, eating out, traveling and walking on the beach.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, April 19, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. There are no calling hours, please omit flowers. Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main St., is directing arrangements.
