Obituary

Pasqualina (Ciampanelli) Columbo of Dedham died April 14, 2005 at the Highgate Manor Nursing Home in Dedham. She was 97. Mrs. Columbo was born in Providence, RI and was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Caroline (Tavone) Ciampanelli. She was a longtime Dedham resident. Mrs. Columbo was a member and the Past President of the Italian American Citizens Club Auxiliary of Dedham. She also belonged to the Dedham American Legion Auxiliary, and the Young at Heart Club of Dedham. Her family and friends were foremost in her heart and thoughts always. She was noted for her handiwork, crafting hundreds of pieces through crocheting, knitting, and rug making.

She was the beloved wife of the late Martin Columbo. Devoted mother of Joseph Columbo and his wife Claire, and Mary Grella and her husband Joseph all of Dedham. Sister of Anthony Ciampanelli and his wife Madeline of N. Providence, RI. Grandmother of Martin and Joseph Columbo and Joseph, Richard, and Michael Grella. Also survived by 8 great grandchildren.

Mother of the late Deloris Whitehead. Sister of the late Carlo, James, and Domenic Ciampanelli, Mary Manzo, Doris Agnello, and Etta LaSalandra. Grandmother of the late Jason Whitehead.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., on Saturday at 11:30 am. Funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 12 noon. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visitation prior to the mass 10:00-11:30 am. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
