Eli G. Braley, III, 54, of Mattapoisett died April 14, 2005 at home unexpectedly.
He was the husband of Susan (O'Donnell) Braley.
Born in New Bedford, son of Eli G. Braley, Jr. and Roberta (Sibor) Braley, both of Fairhaven, he was raised in Fairhaven before moving to Mattapoisett 25 years ago. He was a graduate of Fairhaven High School, class of 1968 and Marietta College, in Ohio, class of 1973.
Mr. Braley was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Mattapoisett.
He was employed in loan servicing with Fall River Municipal Credit Union for over 10 years and worked part-time at Village Package Store in Mattapoisett. Prior to that, he was employed in loan servicing at New Bedford Institution for Savings and was treasurer at Hathaway Braley Wharf Company in Fairhaven.
Mr. Braley enjoyed gardening, sailing and watching the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots with his family.
Survivors include his wife; his parents; 2 sons, Eli G. Braley, IV and Adam L. Braley, both of Mattapoisett; a daughter, Amy E. Braley of Mattapoisett; a brother, Robert E. Braley of Essex, CT; a sister, Diane E. Potter of Fairhaven; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Anthony's Church, Mattapoisett, Tuesday, April 19th at 10 AM.
