SMITH – FREDERICK Leo Jr. – 76, of West Roxbury passed away peacefully on April 13, 2005. Devoted husband of Margaret T. (Connell) and loving father to Regina Edwards and Jennifer Mirabella. Proud grandfather to Brittany and Brian Edwards and Matthew, Gregory and Jacqueline Mirabella. Brother of Raymond Smith of Burlington & Donald Smith of Arlington.Survived also by many nieces and neohews. Brother in law to James and Mary Scannell. Raised in Cambridge he attended Northeastern University and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He was a member of the U.S. Merchant Marines, before becoming a teacher for the Boston Public Schools for 30 years. He enjoyed many hobbies and was a licensed Ham Radio Operator. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury on saturday April 16, at 9 am, followed by a funeral mass in the Holy Name Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours friday 4-7 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Saint Joseph Cemetery.
