Mrs. Antoinette Calogero, of Medford, age 96, died on April 13, 2005 in Peabody at the Rainbow Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Josephine (Smedile) & Guglielmo Gullifa.
Antoinette attended Boston Schools as a child. She has been a Medford resident since 1929. Throughout her career she worked for different Hospitals as an attendant, she was a nursing home worker and a Forelady in a clothing factory. Antoinette loved to traveling, enjoyed cooking many meals for her family and just spending quality time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
Antoinette was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Calogero. Devoted mother of Andrew Calogero and his wife Carol of Medford, Roseann Woodworth of Peabody and her late husband Robert V. Woodworth. Loving grandmother of Andrea Calogero, Cathi Duffy, Dr. Mark Calogero, Michael Calogero, Susan Bossi, Wanda Cimon, Paula Piantedosi, Heather Walsh, and Bobbie Melanson. Also survived by 22 loving great grandchildren and 2 loving great great grandchildren. Sister of Jenny Wojtkiewicz of Somerville and the late Mary Vancini, William & James Gullifa.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
