Obituary

LOWELL—John F. Prescott, 77 years old, a former resident of Lowell and current resident of Nashua, died Sunday evening at the Holy Family Hospital, in Methuen. He was the husband of Rose M. (Campbell) Prescott, of Nashua, NH.

He was born in Lowell, on November 24, 1927, a son of the late William M. and Mary (Mullen) Prescott, and was educated in the Lowell Public School System.

Mr. Prescott served in the United States Army at the conclusion of World War II, in Japan. He had been employed as a Plate Maker by the Courier Citizen, in Lowell for over 30 years, and was a life member of the International Printing and Graphic Communications Union.

Surviving him besides his wife are a son: William R. Prescott, of Melbourne, FL; two granddaughters: Ashley Ann Pimental, and Tayler A. Prescott, both of Nashua, NH; a brother: James Prescott, of Lowell; three sisters and one brother-in-law: Mary Rita Leary, of Lowell; Dorothy and Edward Cleary, of Vero Beach, FL; and Martha Hickey, of Chelmsford; his daughter-in-law: Jill Pimental, of Nashua, NH.

He was the brother of the late William M. Prescott, and brother-in-law of the late William Leary and John Hickey.

Friends may call on Wednesday, April 13th, from 4 until 8 PM at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). His Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday, April 11th, at 12 noon at ST. MARGARET’S CHURCH. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
