NEW BEDFORD — A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at St. Aidan's Chapel, 185 Smith Neck Road, So. Dartmouth, Ma. at 11:00 a.m. for the late Richard A. Perry who died January 7, 2015.
Husband of the late Geraldine (Marshall) Perry, father of David M. Perry and his wife Elizabeth, and grandfather of Jeffery and Willow.
He was born in New Bedford and was the the son of the late Augustus and Mary (Simmons) Perry. A lifelong area resident, he was a well known insurance salesman for Connecticut General Insurance Co. until opening his own agency Wefer and Parker, Inc.
A U.S. Army Veteran, he played baseball in younger years and was well known as a talented golfer in his later years.
A gathering will take place following the service at the Wamsutta Club, 427 County St., New Bedford.
Burial was private under the direction of the WILSON CHAPEL, 479 County St., New Bedford, Ma.
