SALEM- Shirley A. Remon-Greeke, 67, a lifelong resident of Salem, died Saturday evening, April 9, 2005, in the Twin Oaks Nursing Home, Danvers, following a long illness.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Herbert A. & Marjorie G. (Moulton) Remon. A lifelong resident of Salem, she was a graduate of Salem High School with the class of 1956. She enjoyed spending time at Winter Island Park with her friends.
Shirley was employed at Crosby’s Market, Salem, starting from when it was known as Harvest Market, and more recently, she worked in the bookstore at Salem State College.
She is survived by four sons: David A. Greeke of Danvers, Darren A. Greeke of Salem, Daniel A. Greeke of Middleton, Douglas A. Greeke of Denver, Colorado, two brothers, Howard C. Remon. and his wife Barbara of Danvers, and Herbert A. Remon, Jr. and his wife Alice of Lyndon, Utah, her former husband, Arthur D. Greeke of Hathorne and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2005, at 8 PM in he Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Visiting hours are Thursday, 6 to 8 pm, prior to the service. For on line guest book and directions, visit www.SalemFuneral.com
