New Bedford – Mary (Silva) Sylvia, 97, of N. Dartmouth died Monday, April 04, 2005 at The Oaks after a brief illness.
She was born in Provincetown, MA, daughter of the late Domingo and Mary C. (Silva) Silva and had resided in N. Dartmouth for the past 20 years. Prior to retirement she was employed as a secretary for the former Cornell Dublier of New Bedford. She was a former member of the former Faith Bible Church of Westport and past president of the Anderson Way Senior Citizens, Dartmouth.
She is survived by a son: Frank R. “Bob” Sylvia and his wife Alice of Brookfield, VT; 3 grandchildren: Wayne Sylvia and his wife Geraldine, Stephen Sylvia and Jeffrey Sylvia; a great granddaughter: Lindsey Mary Sylvia; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Plainville Church, Plainville Road, New Bedford at 2:00 P.M.
