Cecile Wormwood, 92, of Wilson Ave., Derry, NH died Friday April 26, 2002 at her home. She was born in St. Sophie, Quebec, Canada on May 25, 1909 a daughter of the late, Arthur and Marie L. (Rhouiller) Belanger. She was a resident of Derry since 1986, formerly living in Candia, NH for many years. She was a communicant of St. Paul’s Church in Candia where she was also a member of the Women’s Guild. Mrs. Wormwood was also a member of the Wednesday Ladies Sewing Group, and enjoyed knitting, especially socks and mittens. She loved gardening, and was well known for having a meticulous garden in Candia. She was the widow of Carlton Wormwood who died in 1985.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Edward (Blanche) Garone of Derry, her son, James A. Wormwood of Elyria, Ohio, four grandchildren, one great granddaughter, four sisters, Lumina Trottier, Simone Cormier, Marion Deshaies, Eiane Levasseur, all of Canada, one brother, Robert Belanger of Canada, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 30th, at 10:00 at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. The burial will follow in the New Pine Grove Cemetery in Raymond, NH.
