Lifelong Stoughton Resident
STOUGHTON - Grace E. (McEwan) Leahy, 83 of Stoughton, wife of the late Henry L. Leahy, died on Thursday at Goddard Rehabilitation and Nursing Center,after a lengthy illness.
Born in Stoughton, the daughter of the late John S. G. and Hannah (Coveney) McEwan. She attended Stoughtoin schools. She had worked as an eyeletter for theformer Corcoran Shoe / Acme Boot Co. of Stoughton for 44 years, retiring in 1983. Prior to this she had worked for the Reed & Barton Co. of Taunton.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late; Marion, Dorothy, Gertrude, Marguerite McEwan andJen Overton, Ann Robinson also William, Henry, Walter, Leo, and Charlie McEwan.
Her funeral will be at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, from her late residence (155 York St., Stoughton) followed by a funeral Mass at 10:15 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Canton St. Stoughton. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
