THOMPSON, CT – James M. “Jim” Ahern, 50, of 1392 Thompson Rd, died Saturday, April 2, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, MA.
He leaves his mother, Bernice (Begreen) Ahern of Thompson; a sister, Mary Ellen and her husband John Popiak of Charlton, MA; 2 nieces, Heather M. and Daryl A. Popiak both of Charlton, MA.
He was born in Webster, MA, a son of the late John D. Ahern. He was a graduate of Tourtellotte High School and earned his Bachelors Degree from East Connecticut State College.
Mr. Ahern was a business consultant with New England Management Group, a company he owned and operated. He was a member of Saint Louis Church. He enjoyed playing golf and helped run the D.A.R.E. Golf Tournament.
A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 24, at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street, Webster, MA. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley, MA. Memorial donations may be made to the Saint Louis School Endowment Fund, 15 Lake Street, Webster, MA 01570
