Obituary

NORTHBOROUGH-Helen (Stefanson) Lagadinos, 78, of Northborough died Thursday, March 31st. Her devoted husband of 50 years Arthur N. Lagadinos died last year. She leaves her beloved children, Nicholas A. and his wife Pandora Lagadinos of Cotuit, 2 daughters, Elizabeth Lagadinos and her husband Arthur Burdett of Boxborough, and Stephanie, wife of Thomas Parish of Westford, 6 grandchildren, Alexander and Zachary Lagadinos, Ariana and Elyssa Burdett, and Eva and Charlotte Parish, 2 brothers Nicholas and James Stefanson of the Detroit area, many nephews, nieces, cousins and godchildren. 2 brothers Emmanuel and Anthony Stefanson predeceased her.

She was born in Detroit, the daughter of Charles and Basilia (Diamos) Stefanson was educated in Detroit and later moved to Worcester, and then to Northborough in 1997. Mrs. Lagadinos had worked as Secretary for the Chairman of the Biomedical Engineering Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 1976 until 1987. She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, its Senior Parishioners, the Ladies Philoptochos Society, the Daughters of Penelope, Theano Chapter 122 and had served as its president. Mrs. Lagadinos was a Girl Scout Leader, and Advisor to the Maids of Athena, and a member of the American Cancer Society.

The funeral is Tuesday, April 5th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 11:00 AM in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, April 4th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
