James D. Gaouette, 18, of New Bedford died Wednesday March 30, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Darlene Machado of New Bedford and Douglas Gaouette of Dorchester, he lived in New Bedford all his life.
Jimmy was employed as a landscaper, and had worked with his father in the heating and plumbing business.
Jimmy was an avid sports fan, who excelled in football and baseball. He had been a member of the South End Youth Athletic Association and participated in the New Bedford Pop Warner Football Program. Most of all, he loved spending time with his niece, Jaydah.
Survivors include his parents; a brother, Justin Gaouette of New Bedford; two sisters, Krystin Gaouette and Katie Alves, both of New Bedford; his grandparents, Dorothy Machado of Freetown and Rita and Roland Gaouette of New Bedford; a niece, Jaydah of New Bedford; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was the grandson of the late William Machado.
His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday April 5, 2005 at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Monday April 4, 2005 from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to his family.
