WORCESTER___Helen M. (Boncyzk) Peter, 93 of Worcester died peacefully Friday April 1 in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her family. Her husband of 63 years, Simon P. Peter died Sept. 12, 2003.
She leaves four daughters, Helen M. Cocozzella of Holden; Theresa B. Foley of Rutland; Barbara D. Peter – Whiting of Gaithersburg, MD., and Elaine C. Peter of Rutland; five grandchildren, Christine Foley, Patricia Carlson, Jim Foley, Dr. Joseph Cocozzella and Michael Cocozzella, three great-grandchildren, Brody, Liam and Bayla and nephews and nieces. A granddaughter, Lisa M. Cocozzella died Nov. 15, 2004. Helen was also predeceased by a brother, Anthony Boncyzk. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Piote and Mary (Dobboska) Boncyzk and lived here all her life.
Mrs. Peter was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
The funeral will be held on Monday April 4 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday April 3 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Memorial Fund, 34 Ward St., Worcester, 01610 or the family requests that Masses be said in her name.
