Rose Petroni, passed away peacefully, at the Brighten Nursing Facility, in Medford, on Thursday, March 31, following a extended illness. The wife of Guido Petroni with whom she shared sixty-nine years of marriage was ninety-three years old.
Born in Montauro, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Caterina and Vincenzo Froio. Her focus in life was simple, she took great pride in raising her family, helping her husband around her house and enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Along with her husband she is survived by her son James and his wife Joann of Winchester, her dauhter Angela Mattos and her husband Robert of Medford. Her loving grandchildren Bob, Kathy, Gina, Maria and Deanna. Also her cherished great grandchildren Sarah, Anna Bell, Ryan, Thom, Elizabeth, John, Delano and Maceo.
She is predeceased by her son Phillip Petroni, and her two brothers Joseph and Anthony Froio
Rose´s funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, on Tuesday, April 5, at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St. Medford at 11. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
Realtives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with tha family at the funeral home on Monday, April 4, from 2-4 & 7-9.
