Mabel Rose Proctor, 87, formerly of Rocky Mount, NC died Monday June 22, 2015 at the Ridgewood Center, Bedford, NH. Mrs. Proctor was born in Sharpsburg, NC on September 6, 1927 a daughter of the late Edgar and Viola Rose. She previously resided at Spring Arbor Assisted Living in Rocky Mount, NC. She was a longtime member of Englewood Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, NC.
She is survived by one daughter, Carlene Vaitones and her husband Edward of Derry, NH, one son, Kevin Proctor of Sanford, NC, two granddaughters, Vera and Valentina Vaitones, both of Derry, two brothers, Robert Rose of Rocky Mount, NC, and James Rose of Anchorage, AK, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lt. Col. John J. Proctor in 1983, and by her sisters, Margaret Edwards, and Minnie Turner.
There are no calling hours. Graveside services were held on Friday June 26, 2015 at 1:00pm in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. The Peabody Funeral Homes, 15 Birch St., Derry assisted the family with arrangements.
