Henriquetta (Ferreira) "Katie" Lopes, 99, of New Bedford died March 29, 2005 at the Blaire House after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Paulo Lopes.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late John and Rosa (Gonsalves) Ferreira, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Lopes was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Rose Pina of New Bedford; several brothers and sisters; her close friend Joe Correia of New Bedford; a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
Her private graveside service was on Wednesday, March 30th in St. John's Cemetery. Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 20th at 7 PM in Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
