Beloved father of Lynne A. Carbone of Revere, Steven J. Carbone and his wife Jayne of Saugus, John A. Carbone, Jr. and his wife Christine of Billerica and the late Brett A. Carbone. Loving brother of Frank Carbone and his wife Ruth Ann of Billerica, Joseph Carbone and his wife Sachiko of Hawaii, Angela Carbone and her husband David Bernstein of Wilbraham. Cherished grandfather of Daniel J. Carbone of Revere. Also lovingly survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews as well as his sister-in-law Janet Durant of Revere. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Thursday morning, March 31st 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Stanislaus Church, 163 Chestnut Street, CHELSEA at 9 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Born and raised in Chelsea, a graduate of the Chelsea School system and the Chelsea High School Class of 1956, John, age 66, passed away at home early Monday evening, surrounded by his family after brief illness, being diagnosed with Cancer at the beginning of this year.
A systems analyst in the computer field, John worked for many of the major coporate companies during his career. He was with Fidelity for over 18 years, Putnam Funds for 8 and retired in May of 2004 from Mellon after being with the company for 8 years. John was also a United States Air Force Veteran serving from October of 1957 till June of 1961.
