Loving father of Jill Smith and her husband Harvey of Plymouth; Scott Wilkins of NH; Dawn Marie Curtis of Maine and Danny Copeland of Taunton. Survived by eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish (formerly St. Colman) Brockton at 9 am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Bridgewater. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Donald Wilkins to Hospice Care of Greater Taunton, 244 N. Obituary
Mr. Wilkins died Saturday evening at his home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. Born in Brockton, a son of the late Frederick Wilkins
and Marie (Drew) Stockus. He was raised and educated in Brockton and for past 24 years he had resided in Raynham. During the Korean War he served in the US Navy in the war zone. He retired from the Eastern Edison Company after 25 years of service. He enjoyed cooking woodworking and music.
He is survived by his wife, Jean E. (Skinner) Wilkins, two daughters, Jill Smith and her husband Harvey of Plymouth; Dawn Marie Curtis of Maine, two sons, Scott Wilkins of NH and Danny Copeland of Taunton, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, ten brothers and sisters Linda Athanasiou of Marshfield, Diane Mattivello of Halifax, Russell Wilkins of Cambridge, Donnie Chandler of Onset, Carolyn Maxim of Onset, Geraldine Valliere of Hyde Park, Robert Wilkins of Plymouth, Curt Wilkins of Florida, Jessie Ippillito of Brockton, DeDe Wilkins of Florida and the late Gary Wilkins.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews
