Obituary

WAREHAM - Carol A. (Mattos) Borsari, 62, of Wareham, formerly of Raynham, died Sunday at her home after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Paul A. Borsari.

Born Dec. 17, 1942, in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Abati) Mattos.

Mrs. Borsari was a graduate of Taunton High School, Class of 1960.

She received her bachelor’s degree in political science in 1995 from Bridgewater State College, where she was magna cum laude.

Mrs. Borsari spent an internship in the Kennedy office in Washington D.C.

She worked as an office manager for Suma Co. for three years.

Mrs. Borsari had lived in Wareham for the past year, coming from Raynham, where she resided for 30 years. She also lived in Naples, Fla., for some time.

She enjoyed photography, golfing and fishing.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Paula Borsari of Wareham and Patricia Raynard of Middleton; one son, Michael Borsari of Fairfield, Conn.; and her grandchildren, Jessica, Carla, Elizabeth and Leo. She was sister to the late Robert Mattos.

Her funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rt. 18), Bridgewater, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater. Burial will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Bridgewater.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Donations may be made to Patient Care Fund at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, c/o Development Office, 330 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215.
