Wilmot C. Will, of Cow Hill Road, Mystic, died March 25, 2005, at the Westerly Hospital after a long illness. Born on December 15, 1918 in Preston, CT, he was the son of the Late Wilmot B. Will and Nellie Wilbur. Wilmot was employed as a machinist for many years at the Davis Standard Company in Pawcatuck and retired from the United Nuclear Company.
He was a lifetime member of the Mystic Rod & Gun Club and the National Rifle Association.
He is predeceased by his wife Marjorie M. Startz Will, a son Wilmot C. Will, Jr.; a granddaughter Virginia L. Pero, and a great-granddaughter, Antoinette Salpietro. Wilmot was also predeceased by two sisters, Florence Myers and Elsie Mae and a brother Clifford Will.
He is survived by a daughter Norma Bermudez of North Stonington, CT, three sisters, Thelma Beauchamp of Mystic with whome he made his home, Hazel Harmacy of Stonington and Phyllis Burdick of Mystic, two brothers Earl Will of Arizona and Richard Will of Maine. He has 8 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
His family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Tuesday from 5-7pm.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be conducted at Elm Grove Cemetery, Rte. 27, Mystic on Wednesday at 11am.
