Mary F. (Bowen) Monteiro, 81, of New Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Sacred Heart Home. She was the wife of the late William F. Case and Theodore L. Monteiro.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Robert and Mary V. (Sullivan) Bowen, she had resided in Tiverton prior to moving to New Bedford. She had attended Allens Neck Friend’s Meeting in Dartmouth and was a communicant of St. Anne’s Church, Fall River. Mrs. Monteiro enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
The family wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Sacred Heart Home for their care and support.
Survivors include her son: William F. Case and his wife Mary of Warwick, RI; her daughter: Mary A. Feldon and her husband Brian of New Bedford; brother: Charles Case of RI; 3 sisters: Edi Marchesi, Judy Strom and Joan Kohen, all of RI; 4 grandchildren: Christopher, Amy, Shaina and Eric; 3 great grandchildren: Devin, Isaiah and Colin; dear friend: Elizabeth Amaral of Dartmouth; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late William A. Case.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Potter Funeral Home at 9:30 A.M.
Calling hours will be Friday from 5-8 P.M.
Interment will be in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford.
