Frances Rose (Andreottola) Belmonte of Medford passed away peacefully at the Woodbriar Nursing Home in Wilmington. She was 91. Born in Boston's North End to the late Michael and Filomena (DeRosa) Andreottola, she was raised in Revere and lived her adult life in Medford. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Frances worked throughout her life. She was employed many years at Converse Rubber in Malden, and later as an office administrator at Melrose Dodge and finally with American Ink Jet in Billerica. Frances loved animals and also loved to cook and sew. An avid Red Sox fan she was devoted to her family and friends.
Frances was the beloved wife of the late George Belmonte. She was a devoted mother to Jeanne Wilder and her husband Billy of Medford and Phyllis DiTocco and her husband Wayne of Wilmington. She was a loving "Mammy" to Adam DiTocco. The dear sister of Nicholas Andreottola and his late wife Tina, Frank Andre and his wife Norma, Lena Mills and her husband Frank, all of Medford and the late Anthony Andre and his wife Adeline formerly of Brookline, she also leaves many loving nieces and nephews. Frances also leaves her pet dogs Mitzi, Hally and Max. In addition, the family would like to thank Marie Dejour for providing such comforting companionship for Mom while at home and for the unparalleled care and compassion of the Woodbriar of Wilmington Rehab and nursing staff.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday June 19th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends are also respectfully invited to visit with the family at the funeral home Thursday, 4-8 PM.
