Helen M. "Dimps" McLaughlin, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, June 12, 2015 at John Scott Nursing Home in Braintree following an extended illness. She was 77 years old.
Helen was born in Boston on March 24, 1938, a daughter of the late John McLaughlin and Mary (Amann) McLaughlin. She grew up in Charlestown where she educated in the Boston Public School system. Helen worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company of Boston for 44 years. She was a world traveler and fan of Boston sports. She was a generous donor to numerous charities and people in need.
Helen is the devoted sister of Mary Devlin of Charlestown, Josephine Ward of Charlestown, Frank McLaughlin of Amherst, New Hampshire and the late John McLaughlin, Rita Feeley and Ann Doherty. She is the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Helen's Funeral on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
