M. Rebecca Bisbee, 80, of Derry, NH, died Friday, March 25, 2005 in her home. Mrs. Bisbee was born in Manchester, NH on May 28, 1924, a daughter of the late George W. and Mavis A. (Fullonton) Williamson. She was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, Class of 1942 and was a lifelong Derry resident. She received her nurses training at Lawrence General Hospital, and was employed as a registered nurse for the hospital. Mrs. Bisbee was later employed by Western Electric, which became Lucent Technologies from which she retired. She loved dogs and spending time at her camp at Merrymeeting Lake.
She is survived by three sisters, Sally Gurley of Derry, Nancy Sullivan of Trego, Montana, Wendy Thayer of Goffstown, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her husband, former Derry Police Chief Kenneth M. Bisbee who died in 1981.
There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be private. The burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
