WEBSTER – Eleanor M. (Parmentier) Pepka Durand, 91, of Christopher Heights, died Tuesday, March 22, in Colonial Health Group. Her husband of 25 years, Edward J. Durand, died January 18. Her first husband, Felix E. Pepka, died in 1965.
She leaves 2 sons, Donald E. and his wife Naomi Pepka of Dudley, and Kenneth J. and his wife Sandra Pepka of Thompson, CT; a daughter Carol A. and her husband Arthur Plouffe of Dudley; 2 stepsons, Thomas and his wife Francine Cook of Wollaston, and Edward A. Durand of Pittsfield, Maine; a step-daughter, Janice and her husband Raymond Hebert of Greenville, RI; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was born in Dudley, one of eight children of Alfred and Elizir (Mayotte) Parmentier, and lived in the Dudley and Webster area until 1979, when she moved to Woonsocket, RI. She returned here in January after her husband’s death.
Mrs. Pepka Durand worked at the deli counter at the Dudley Park ‘n’ Shop until 1979. She also was an inspector at Omnitech for 14 years.
She was a former member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a longtime member of Saint Joseph Church in Woonsocket, RI.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 2, in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to either the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association, both at Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
