Obituary

David J. Cahill, 69, of Schurman Drive, Derry, NH died Wednesday April 24, 2002 at the Integrated Health Services of Derry. He was born in Salem, MA on May 11, 1932, a son of the late Daniel and Esther (Fitzpatrick) Cahill. He was a resident of Derry, NH since 1965, formerly living in Salem, MA. He was a graduate of Salem High School, Salem, MA. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the FAA in Nashua, NH as an air traffic controller, until retiring in 1988 as a crew chief. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by four daughters, Catherine A. Fitzgerald, of Londonderry, NH, Janet M. Kimball, of Candia, NH, Cheryl T. Clements, of Belmont, NH, Mary D. Brodeur, of Manchester, NH, seven grandchildren, one brother, Greg Cahill, of Beverly, MA, one sister Mary Jane Grealish, of Florida, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday May 2, 2002 at 10:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Crystal Avenue, Derry, NH. Burial will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry, NH. Friends may call on Wednesday May 1, 2002 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Building, 360 State Route 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03110-5032.
