New Bedford Ernest “Rocky” Rogers died Sunday March 20, 2005 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy (Dutra) Rogers of South Dartmouth.He was the Father of Randall Rogers of Virginia.Brother of George Rogers of Dartmouth, William Rogers of N. Carolina, Raymond Rogers of Dartmouth, Robert Rogers of Dartmouth and Judy DeSouza of Dartmouth. 1 Grandson Chad Rogers. Several Nieces and Nephews. He was also the Brother of the late Edward Rogers.
Mr. Rogers was the son of the late Edith (Perry) and Antone Rogers. He worked as a Equipment Operator for local Construction Companies.He was a U.S. Army Veteran in WWII.
His liturgy of the word with final Commendation will be celebrated Thursday March 24, 2005 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church South Dartmouth, MA. Visiting hours will be Wednesday March 23, 2005 from 6-8 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St.
