Ruggia, of Marmora, NJ, formerly of Brockton, Joseph F. Ruggia, Jr., 52 years. Husband of Jean (Davidson) Ruggia, father of Heather Hammond, Joseph F. Ruggia, III and Matthew Ruggia, son of Marie (Guest) Ruggia and the late Joseph F. Ruggia, brother of Karen Lynch, Dana Ruggia and Michael Ruggia.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish at 9am. Burial will be private. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8pm. In memory of Joseph, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Obituary Information

Joseph F. Ruggia, Jr. 52 of Marmora, NJ died suddenly Thursday at his home. Born in Miami, FL he had lived most of his life in Brockton and had been a resident of Marmora, NJ since 1990.

Mr. Ruggia had worked as a cook in many Brockton area restaurants and the TAJ Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ. He had also worked for Franklin Painting in Marmora for nine years; for the past year he was working for Mastercraft Custom Painting in Ocean City. He was an avid sports fan, especially of any New England Teams. He will be deeply missed for his quick wit and kind heart.

He is survived by his wife Jean (Davidson ) Ruggia of Brockton, three children, Heather Hammond of Brockton, Joseph F. Ruggia, III of Corbin City, NJ and Matthew Ruggia of Marmora, NJ, his mother Marie (Guest ) Ruggia of Brockton, a sister, Karen Lynch and her husband Kieran of Marmora, NJ; two brothers Dana Ruggia of Absecon, NJ, Michael Ruggia and his wife Judi of Lockhart, TX and many nephews

He was the son of the late Joseph F. Ruggia, Sr.
