William J. “Bill” Wells Jr. age 89 of Salem, NH, died Monday at the Academy Manor Nursing Home, Andover, MA
He was born in Ravena, New York, where he grew up and attended schools. Mr. Wells was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 65 years, formerly of Ravena, NY.
Mr. Wells was a retired Public Works Employee for the Town of Salem, NH. He was a US Navy World War II Veteran. He was a charter member of the VFW Memorial Post 8546 in Salem, NH, and a member of the American Legion in Salem, NH. He was a member of Pleasant Street United Methodist Church in Salem NH and loved gardening.
He was predeceased by 3 Sons: Robert Wells, Lawrence Wells, and William Haynes

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 24, 2004 at 11 AM at the Pleasant Street United Methodist Church, Salem, NH. Cremation will follow.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2005 from 4-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH
