Elaine M. Sweitzer, 71, of Raymond, NH passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester following a sudden illness. She was born on June 2, 1944 in Medford, MA a daughter of the late Frank A. and Edith (Guidoni) Ruggiero. Elaine was a graduate of Somerville High School, Somerville, MA. She was employed as an office manager for Master Halco where she worked for 19 years. She enjoyed crocheting, playing pool, and gambling at the casinos.
She is survived by her husband Harry Sweitzer, one son Richard Nunziato and his girlfriend Claire Gurley, two daughters, Sherri Cole and husband David and Vincie Lang and husband Jeff, three grandchildren, Kacie Lang, Nicole Richard, and Jeffrey Lang, one brother, Ronald Ruggiero, her sister in law Joanne Ruggiero, as well as three nieces, Jennifer Nieves, Vickie Mason and Laura Ruggiero.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 4 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 18th at 10:00am in the funeral home with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, NH Affiliate, 249 Canal Street, Manchester, NH 03101 or the American Heart Associate, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
