David C. Burleigh, 48, of Groton died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 6, 2015, in Salem. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 15 years, Wendy (Switzer) Burleigh. He was born on November 11, 1966 in Groton, the son of Carl A. and Ann Marie Burleigh. He grew up in Groton, graduating from Fitch Senior High School. He worked for many years at Mohegan Sun Casino.
In addition to his wife, Wendy, and his parents, he is survived by his siblings Tina (Roger) Gardner, Michael (Tracy) Burleigh, and Jeanette (Bryan) Connole. He is also survived by daughter Renee (Michael) Schmidt and son TJ Schneider, grandchildren Ruby and Juliet Schneider and MaKenzie and Caitlyn Schmidt, as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins in MI. He is predeceased by his brother Michael Stanley.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 12, at 11:00am at St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church, 69 Groton Long Point Road, Groton. Burial will be private for the family. There are no visiting hours.
