Obituary

Grace E. (Payne) Perry age 86 of Brockton formerly of West Bridgewater died Tuesday June 9, 2015 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Perry. Grace was born in Boston and raised in West Bridgewater, a daughter of the late Carlton and Winnifred (Warren) Payne.

A graduate of Howard High School in West Bridgewater, Grace had been a bus driver working for Southeastern Vocational Technical High School for over 30 years. She was very involved in the Universalist Unitarian Church Women’s Fellowship, was a volunteer at the West Bridgewater COA and also coached her grandson’s baseball and basketball games.

Grace loved to watch television and work around her yard but what gave her most enjoyment in life was spending time with her grandchildren, especially her great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a strong, energetic, compassionate and caring person.

Grace is survived by her grandsons Robert S. Kilsby, Jr. and his future wife Renata Cunha of N. Easton; Brian S. Kilsby and his wife Amy of Bridgewater and Jessica L. Grantham and her husband Michael of Ashburn, VA; great grandchildren Riley, Emerson and Spenser Kilsby. Grace was the mother of the late Sandra J. Kilsby and sister of the late Richard Payne, Jennie Payne Titcomb and Steve Payne.

Visiting hours in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Friday June 12, 4-8pm. Memorial Service in the Universalist Unitarian Church 325 W. Elm St. Brockton on Thursday June 18, at 11am. Burial to follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:15pm. Donations in Grace's name may be made to Colon Cancer Research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St. Boston, MA 02115.
