Obituary

Brian M. Murray, a resident of Saugus and former longtime resident of Boston and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Monday, June 8, 2015 at The Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following an extended illness. He was 53 years old.

Brian was born in Cambridge on August 30, 1961, a son of Evelyn (McNamara) Murray and Russell H. Murray. He grew up in Saugus where he was educated in the Saugus Public School system and graduated from Saugus High School in 1980. He furthered his education where he excelled in Graphic Design at Barry College in Miami, Florida and Parsons College in Manhattan, New York. Brian worked for over 20 years as a Flight Attendant for American Trans Air (ATA) and took great pride knowing throughout his career as a flight attendant that he was transporting the men and women of our armed forces to and from the middle east. Brian had a passion for the new and old and enjoyed a great yard sale whenever he came across one. He enjoyed antiques and old movies. Brian always enjoyed being the vocal point of any social gathering but most of all he loved life and always put the other person before himself in life.

Brian is the beloved son of Evelyn (McNamara) Murray of Saugus and the late Russell H. "Raz" Murray. He is the devoted brother of Shawn Murray of Saugus, Russell P. Murray and his wife Kathryn of Baltimore, Maryland and Timothy F. Murray and his wife Kristine of Beverly. He is the loving uncle to Griffin Murray, Colin Murray and Julia Murray. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear and loving friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Brian's Funeral on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 9:30 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main St. Melrose followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. His burial will be private. Visiting hours will be on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
