ANDERSON --Billy Joe Cox, 72 Passed away on June 2,2015
Bill was born in Elwood and raised in Alexandria. Bill worked at Barber Manufacturing, Shacks Rubber Company, and later retired from Thompson Consumer Electronics in 1999.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Patricia E. Cox, and children Debbie (Jeff) Carper, John Hogue, Silas Hogue, Telly (Kevin) Rinker, Kerri Hogue (Shellie Smith), Grandchildren Larry Joe (Gloria) Lundy, Jason (Krista) Carper, Casey Carper (Bub Dudley), Brittney (Mel) Gideon, Zack (Stepanie) Cox, Spenser Riggs, London Hogue, Logan Hogue, Justin Rinker (Dani Jachim), Kayla Rinker, and Great Grandchildren Karah, Vincent, Ayla, Liam, Jaylen, Lelan Joe Lee, Lincoln, Pierce, Lennox, Audrey, Mel IV, Savannah Sadie, Trighton, Zanler, Lilleigh, Daxin
Bill is also survived by his brother and Sisters Charlene Aborn, Harold (Linda) Cox, Judy (Gene) Hartzell Barbara Hornback and several nieces and nephews, along with "Uncle Bulls" buddy Chelbie Lynn Hollen.
He was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Vendea Cox, Donna Cox, and his son Jeff D. Cox.
Bill was an amazing man who always loved when his family was together. He spent many years as a Barrel Racer, loved riding horses and being a cowboy. He liked to fish, watch old westerns, and wrestling. He loved working in his yard and doing woodworking. Bill was a big Dallas Cowboy fan and loved spending time watching his grandchildren play ball.
We ask that you join us as we celebrate his life and say goodbye as he rides off into the sunset at the Arena at Alexandria Fair Grounds from 2-4pm Wednesday.
