Edward Fitzgerald, age 51, of Andover formerly of Medford, passed away March 17th in Florida following an accident. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Ross) Fitzgerald with whom he shared 26 years of marriage. Born in Stoneham he was the son of Barbara (Fitzpatrick) of Medford and Frank Fitzgerald.
Edward grew up in Medford and graduated from Medford High School in 1971. He was the founder of Action Waste Services of Woburn and has worked in the solid waste industry for thirty years. He was a devoted father, uncle and friend who loved to ski and enjoyed being with his family and large circle of friends.
In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Edward is survived by his loving daughters, Katherine Anne, Cristin Ross, and Alexandra Ross Fitzgerald all of Andover. He is also survived by his sisters, Barbara Colangeli of Andover, Ann Fitzgerald of Medford, and his brother, Mark Fitzgerald of Andover. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, Wednesday, at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 144 East Merrimack St. Lowell, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfilluy invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8. Interment will be private.
