Harriet J. (Deisz) Pride, 84, of Medway died Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the Medway Country Manor. She was the beloved wife of Cecil W. Pride, Jr. who died in 2009.
Born in DeKalb, Illinois on February 23, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Claire (Chaffer) Deisz.
Mrs. Pride was a resident of Medway for over 40 years and enjoyed spending winters at Myrtle Beach in South Carolina for many years.
A homemaker for most of her life, Mrs. Pride had also worked as a cook at the Medway Country Manor for many years.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 1526 Post in Medway.
She is survived by; three sons, William Pride of Medway, Alan Pride and his wife, Bonnie of Millis and Carl Pride and his wife, Denese of Modesto, California, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a sister, Eleanor Chandler of South Carolina and a brother, Gene Deisz of Illinois.
She was the sister of the late Robert and Lang Chandler and Don Deisz.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, June 11 at 10 a.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in West Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 - 7 p.m.
